After graduation in the spring of 2007, Mrs. Walker began her career working in the public schools.  Mrs. Walker was given the opportunity to work with children from 3 years of age to high school seniors.  She has also worked in clinical and home health settings.  She is experienced treating clients with speech sound disorders, apraxia, language disorders, accent reduction, lisps, communication enhancements, fluency, and social communication disorders.  Mrs. Walker has been able to collaborate with other professionals, such as, occupational therapist, teachers, and school psychologists.

Not only does Mrs. Walker know the clinician side of speech therapy, she also has a daughter who is deaf in one ear, and received speech therapy.  Mrs. Walker can relate to being a parent of a child with a speech disorder.  It can be  tough, you just want the best for your child and you do not want anything to get in the way of your child reaching their potential.
